Mountain House

Mountain house is a 200 to 400 sam house concept, which is based on two square boxes which are placed diagonal and above one another. The overlap is expressed with a void, connecting the lower floor with the upper floor. The lower floor consists of sleeping/study areas with bathrooms and the entrance to the house. The upper floor is the living area with a kitchen, dining room living room and a wide terrace.

The two boxes are placed in a 3 dimensional space frame, which connects the house to its surroundings (steep hills/mountain area). The top of the space frames is foreseen with louvres (above terrace) and solar cells (above upper floor). In the center, next to the main inside stairs connecting both floors, the central shaft is placed for all technical infrastructure. The house can be extended with an inside or outside pool and a garage, placed within the space frame.
