Patio House is a 200 to 300 sqm house concept, which is based on the flow of open space. A floating closed box on the first floor houses the bedrooms and bathrooms around a central patio area. The floating box creates a shady environment for the living area underneath. The living area is partly enclosed and partly completely open to the terrace, which creates a sublime connection between inside space and outside space.

The house is placed on a sunken pedestal, which houses the garage and creates a ground floor connection in a hilly environment. The natural flow of space from the inside to the outside and the patio concept in combination with the shadow effects of the composition, makes this concept extremely suitable for tropical and sunny environments.
